In this video I’m sharing what artist study and composer study actually look like in our Charlotte Mason homeschool, using the Ambleside Online rotations. If you’ve ever felt like these “riches” sound beautiful but also a little intimidating, I get it. I walk through how I keep it simple and doable—because I’m a homeschool mom of two, and I need this to fit into real life. I use the AO Artist Study Rotation and AO Composer Study Rotation as my guide so I’m not spending hours planning. I also link the AO folksong rotation because I like having those enrichment pieces in one place. The big takeaway is that you don’t need a complicated setup: pick the term’s artist/composer, be consistent, and let your kids build familiarity over time. I’m all about making these subjects life-giving instead of stressful, and AO makes it easy to plug in and enjoy.
