I finally got my hands on the world’s first robot mower with real blades, the Lymow, and I had to put it through a complete test. This Lymow robot mower review covers how it performs, what makes it different, and whether it can truly replace a traditional mower. And let's just say, the lawn tells the story... About This Video

I finally got my hands on the Lymow (Limo) robot mower, and the big deal here is it’s not using those little razor-style blades—this one has real mower blades. My lawn was the perfect test bed because it hadn’t been mowed in about two weeks, it was tall, full of clover, and honestly pretty rough. I unboxed it, walked through the key specs, and then I ran it in real grass with real settings—cutting height up around 3.75 inches, cutting speed cranked, and travel speed slowed down so it could chew through the thick stuff. I also showed how the whole system works: the charging dock, the RTK pole that talks to satellites, and how I map zones, no‑go areas (like my propane tank), and channels so it can travel between sections—like an “island” surrounded by driveway. The obstacle avoidance was a highlight: I tested a 5‑gallon bucket, a volleyball, and even a frisbee, and it did a solid job detecting and navigating around them without drama. My biggest takeaway: if you’re trying to knock down tall grass and make it look perfect in one pass, that’s not really how this works. You’ve got to mow a couple times to get on top of it, and then if you maintain it every 3–4 days, it looks really good—nice cross cuts and stripes—and it frees you up to go do something constructive instead of riding the mower.
