In this video I unbox the TELESIN ultra-light metal combo cage for the DJI Action 5 Pro and give you a quick first look at what you’re actually getting in the box. It’s a simple unboxing (paperwork + the cage), but the first thing I noticed is the build: it’s aluminum and it feels properly solid, which is exactly what I want when I’m using an action cam in situations where it can get knocked about. I slide my DJI Action 5 Pro in, lock it up, and then I go through all the cutouts and mounting points. You’ve got access for the power button and the USB port (and yes, that USB flap is always a bit of a pain to open—honestly I don’t hate that because I don’t want it popping open in water). There are cutouts for the speaker and top mics, a cold shoe on top, a 1/4" mount with locating pins on the side, plus DJI’s magnetic mount compatibility (including a cutout on the bottom). I also test ND filter clearance and it works, which is a big win. Finally, I compare it to DJI’s plastic cage—TELESIN’s aluminum build, the added 1/4" mount, and the cold shoe make it the one I’ll be using going forward, and I’ll share more in my full accessories review soon.
