Look, I’m a gamer. I’m either sitting at my desk working or I’m gaming… and both of those require you to sit. In this video I review the WalkingPad P1 foldable treadmill from a gamer’s perspective and talk about how I’ve been using it under my standing desk to stop living such a ridiculously sedentary life (because yes, I’m also allergic to touching grass). I break down what you actually need to make this setup work, how the setup process goes, and the little things that matter—like static electricity on carpet and how I stopped getting shocked constantly. I also go into real-world use after about 1–2 months: I put roughly 100–200 miles on it, usually doing 2–5 miles per session. Noise-wise it’s not bad, and I used a yoga mat underneath to help with sound and static. I talk speed (0–6 km/h / ~3.7 mph), the learning curve of gaming while walking (expect to take a lot of L’s at first), and which games feel best while walking. Bottom line: walking and gaming is genuinely fun, it helped me move more than I normally would, and so far the WalkingPad P1 has been 100% worth it for my setup.
