About This Video

Glass mousepads are the hot topic right now, so I spent about 3 months using them on and off to figure out what’s real and what’s just hype. In this video I ran six different pads on my desk: the Pulsar Superglide, SkyPAD, Project Arctica, GameSense, Wraith Cosmic, and the TJ Serapad King. The big reason people care is durability (no wear like cloth) and that “fastest glide possible” feeling—but the catch is they’re a serious investment, usually around $65 up to $120–$130, and they’re absolutely not for everyone. Where glass shines is tracking-heavy FPS: COD, Apex, Overwatch, Fortnite, Halo—anything where you’re constantly moving, flicking, and reacting. The low friction makes it insanely easy to keep the mouse moving, and when you hit those quick flicks it feels ridiculously satisfying. But for tac FPS like CS and Valorant (my main games), glass exposes every flaw in your aim—shaky stops, over/under-corrections, and “wiggly” aim that gets frustrating over longer sessions. I even compared CS DM: I did 62 kills on glass vs 69 on a QCK, but the bigger difference was comfort and control. I also rank the feel: SkyPAD is the fastest, Superglide is fast, GameSense sits around there, Wraith and Serapad King lean more controlled, and Project Arctica is the weird sticky-control option. My take: glass pads are worth it—with asterisks—especially if you play tracking games or want a “weight trainer” to clean up your mechanics. And yes, if you’re sweaty like me, wear a sleeve or you will stick to the pad eventually.
