In this video I’m reviewing the Hystar Elite Series Mirai mousepad—limited to 300 units, $50 with free shipping in the U.S.—and breaking down whether it’s actually worth it as a “gateway” hybrid pad. I go through the whole unboxing experience (cyberpunk Japanese glitch-art box, holographic Mirai sticker, rubberized Hystar coaster, and even a maintenance/wash card). The pad itself is 490x420x4mm with authentic Poron, and it’s extra soft and squishy. The stitching honestly impressed me a lot—like, comparable to Artisan—and the sublimation print looks super crisp even under a macro lens. There’s also a cool little Easter egg showing which unit you got out of the 300. Performance-wise, I’m positioning the Mirai against pads like the LGG Venus Pro, Razer Strider, and Artisan options like the Hien/Hayate/Raiden style of “hybrid” feel. The big takeaway: the Mirai is a softer, more entry-level hybrid experience—less aggressive on the skin and noticeably quieter/softer in glide sound compared to something like the Venus Pro. I had a great time in tracking-heavy games (Halo, Overwatch, Fortnite), and while CS/Valorant flick consistency has a learning curve, once you adjust it’s a solid experience with minimal micro-jitters. If you’ve been on control pads like the GSR/QcK/Vaxee PA and want to step into hybrids without going full send, this is a really good pick—especially while other options are hard to get.
