Where is the best fish and chips in Fleetwood?

For me it’s Sharkies Chippy in Fleetwood—best chippy I’ve ever found, to be honest. The fish was really fresh and meaty, and the batter was spot on. I grabbed it and ate it down by Fleetwood Marina, which just makes it taste even better.

I’m out on my Triumph Bonneville T120 Black. It’s a perfect bike for this sort of chilled UK ride out—cruising through villages and sticking to the average speed cameras. And yeah, it was looking really, really good sat up by the marina.

What are Sharkies Chippy opening times and days?

Accepted Answer

They’re closed Sunday and Monday. They’re open the rest of the week (including Saturday) from 11:30 in the day until 7:30 p.m. at night. If you’re heading down, just bear that in mind so you don’t get caught out.

Where can you park up to eat fish and chips in Fleetwood?

I parked up at Fleetwood Marina, near the marina office, and it’s a cracking spot on a sunny night. You’ve got the harbour and the lock right there, and it’s just a nice chilled place to sit and eat. Fish and chips always taste better when you’re sat next to the ocean.

Why do you use an AOOCCI CarPlay unit instead of just your phone?

Accepted Answer

I can run Waze on the AOOCCI C3 unit and keep my phone out of the weather if it starts raining. My phone’s on an SP Connect wireless charging pad, but I’d rather put it in my pocket when it’s wet. The AOOCCI unit is small, IP67 waterproof, and it’s a super cheap option compared to a £400 satnav.

How do you handle kilometers per hour on a Triumph Bonneville when touring abroad?

Accepted Answer

The km/h markings on the Bonneville’s analogue clocks are tiny, and with glasses I can’t really see them properly. So I use the Waze app showing my speed, and I can switch that to kilometers per hour. That’s the simplest way for me when I’m abroad.

What screen tint did you fit on your Bonneville T120 and why?

Accepted Answer

I swapped from a light grey smoke tint to a dark smoke one. It suits the bike better and keeps the all-black look in keeping with the T120 Black. It’s not really a screen you look through when you’re tucked in anyway, so I went for looks and consistency.

Question 8

What’s the plan for your Portugal trip and will you ride the Bonneville there?

Accepted Answer

It all depends on when the new rudder arrives for my sailboat in Portugal. My original plan was ferry to Santander or Bilbao and ride through, but the P&O ferries stop running at the beginning of November. If the call comes too late, I might take the car for a road trip instead, or worst case fly down (which is pretty dull).
