About This Video
In this video I’m doing a quick walk-around of my new truck: a 2025 Toyota Tacoma SR5 in Ice Cap. I’ve only had it a couple weeks (right around 500 miles), but that was enough time to re-film this and give you a better look at what I like and what I’m keeping an eye on. The SR5 trim has always appealed to me because it’s basic in a good way—everything I need, not a bunch of extra stuff—and I think it’s a solid value. I also like how the white paint works with the black accents on the grille and bumper.
I go over the exterior details (LED headlights and taillights, fog lights, Toyo Open Country HT tires, 5-foot bed, locking tailgate, bed lights, full-size spare) and some of the interior stuff that matters day-to-day (keyless entry, push-to-start, physical shifter, smaller screen that’s “enough” for me, heated seats, and the 2H/4H/4L selector). I also talk about my “modify it when I need to” philosophy—like leaving the air dam on until it actually becomes a problem. Driving-wise, coming from a car, it definitely feels more truck-like, but it’s also surprisingly quick with the 2.4L turbo and 8-speed.
