Here I show you how to listen to FRS/GMRS frequencies with a UV5R. Listening is legal. It is ILLEGAL to transmit on the UV5R without a ham license. It is also ILLEGAL to transmit on FRS/GMRS frequencies if the radio is not type accepted by the FCC for those frequencies. A GMRS radio also requires a license to transmit.
