I’ve used a lot of RitFit gear over the years, so this one wasn’t about “will it be good?” It was more about what did they change, and does it actually matter? This is the RitFit M2 3D Smith Machine, and the biggest difference is the 3D Smith movement. It doesn’t lock you into a single straight bar path, which makes a noticeable difference on squats, presses, and accessory work, especially for home gym training. In this video, I’m walking through: ✅ How the 3D Smith Machine works compared to a traditional Smith ✅ Where this setup improves on past RitFit designs ✅ The modular pieces and what I actually use ✅ Who this makes sense for if you’re building or upgrading a home gym This isn’t a hype review, just a real breakdown of how this fits into a home gym setup and whether it’s worth the space. 👉 Check out the RitFit M2 here and buy it here or on my website to support: https://tidd.ly/4tkvsuJ If you’re already a RitFit fan or you’re looking for an all-in-one home gym that doesn’t feel gimmicky, this one’s worth a look. About This Video

RitFit has gone from the M1, to the M1 2.0, and now into the M2 series—and what I’m reviewing here is the M2 3D Smith Pro. This is an all-in-one setup: half rack up front, functional trainer with dual stacks (154 lbs per side), and the big change… a 3D Smith that moves vertical and horizontal to mimic a more natural bar path. In this video I walk through what actually changed (like the move to 13-gauge steel on the uprights), what stayed basically the same (hole spacing, trolley layout), and the little stuff I genuinely appreciate—like RitFit using my favorite “cable ball” setup with the Allen key instead of those annoying cable balls that slide into the system. The 3D Smith is the headline, and I’ll be honest: it’s harder than I expected. Squats and presses feel more demanding because you’re not locked into a straight track, and for me (multiple knee injuries + years of neglecting legs), it exposes stabilizer weaknesses fast. I also show practical home gym hacks—like stepping on plates for deeper RDL/hip thrust range—and I do live testing on the cable system, including loading plates onto the weight horns to push past the 2:1 stack limitation. Bottom line: this isn’t hype. It’s a real breakdown of how it fits in a home gym, what I actually use, and who it makes sense for if you’re upgrading into that mid-tier “more features, more footprint” category.
