Today we're taking a first look at two 11-gauge home gym leg machines from ECHO Strength Depot - a pin-loaded leg extension/curl combo and a plate-loaded version. Both machines are built with 11-gauge commercial-grade steel, which is the same level of construction you typically see in commercial gyms. That means thicker steel, better durability, and equipment that can handle serious training in a home or garage gym. But these two machines are very different in how they function, how much they cost, and who they’re best for. So in this video we break them both down side-by-side. We measure the footprint, test the resistance using a fish scale, walk through the leg extension and seated leg curl movements, and talk through the pros and cons of pin-loaded vs plate-loaded machines. If you're trying to decide what kind of leg extension machine for a home gym makes the most sense, this should help. Machines in this video: Echo Strength Classic Seated Leg Extension & Curl Combo (Pin Loaded) 👉 https://www.echostrengthdepot.com/products/classic-seated-leg-extension-and-curl-combo 💰 Price: $1,999 (~1,699 with code LUKESGARAGEGYM) Echo Strength Plate Loaded Leg Extension & Curl Combo 👉 https://www.echostrengthdepot.com/products/plate-loaded-leg-extension-and-curl-combo 💰 Price: $999 (~$815 with code LUKESGARAGEGYM) Use code LUKESGARAGE GYM for 15% off Echo Strength equipment! KEY DIFFERENCES: Pin Loaded Machine • Commercial style weight stack • Faster weight changes • Heavier and more gym-like feel • Price: $1,999 (before discount) Plate Loaded Machine • Uses standard weight plates • Lower upfront cost • Great if you already own plates • Price: $999 retail (~$800 with code) Both machines are built with 11-gauge steel construction, making them far more durable than most entry-level home gym machines. But depending on your budget, space, and whether you already own plates, one of these may make a lot more sense than the other. ➡️ SHOP USING MY LINKS!: https://www.lukesgaragegym.com/ Direct links (on my website as well) 👉MIKOLO Fitness: https://mikolo.pxf.io/K0r247 👉Mikolo Fitness (Amazon): https://amzn.to/4iw92Sk 👉 GMWD Fitness: https://hkhupoindustrycolimited.pxf.io/jev01b and use code "Luke" to save and the link together to help support me 👉Echo Strength Depot: https://www.echostrengthdepot.com/ and use code “LUKESGARAGEGYM” for 15% off 👉BeFitNow US: https://befitnow.com/ and use code “LUKESGARAGEGYM” to save when you spend $1500 or more 👉BeFitNow Canada: https://befitnow.ca/ and use code “LUKESGARAGEGYM” to save when you spend $1500 or more 👉Eonfit Amazon: https://amzn.to/48qbxSD 👉Revolt: https://www.revoltfitness.com/?rfsn=8745132.a27d8d3 👉MAXUM Fitness US: https://maxumfitness.us/?sld=lukesgaragegym 👉MAXUM Fitness Canada: https://maxumfitness.ca/?sld=lukesgaragegym 👉Ironmaster: https://www.ironmaster.com/306.html 👉Titan Fitness: http://titan-fitness.pxf.io/LPdamM 👉Deltech Fitness: https://amzn.to/3ZXK06D 👉REP Fitness: https://www.repfitness.com/#64271f3180590 👉Major Fitness: https://majorfitness.sjv.io/k0NxEn 👉 Bells of Steel: https://www.bellsofsteel.us/#a_aid=LMZ 👉 Amazon General Link: https://amzn.to/4iqrV8m 👉 Get RX'D: https://www.getrxd.com/#a_aid=LukesGarageGym 👉 U4C Fitness: https://u4cfitness.com/LUKESGARAGEGYM and code LUKESGARAGEGYM to save 10% 👉 Merach: https://merachfit.com/lukestetson?bg_ref=h5O1Ep9ZW7 and code lukesgym25 to save 10% 👉 Boostcamp: use code “LGG” when you sign up to support the page https://www.boostcamp.app/#LGG 👉 ANCORE: code LGG and this link to get $60 off https://ancoretraining.com?dt_id=2552100 👉 HVO Fitness (Amazon): https://amzn.to/44Ki2MX 👉Ritfit (Amazon): https://amzn.to/48kYORQ 👉Major Fitness (Amazon): https://amzn.to/4gWydwu 👉 GMWD Fitness (Amazon): https://amzn.to/46D2woQ 👉 Frogfits: https://frogfits.com?sca_ref=9494266.yzBSfIAnhduJR 👉 PRX: https://prxperformance.com/?sca_ref=9395620.WlyonUNzD7 👉 Darko Lifting: https://darkolifting.com?sca_ref=9544580.IvCBHzZhtE 👉TRAK Fitness LLC: https://trakfitnessllc.sjv.io/VxEPRk 👉3DFabrication: https://3dfabrication.myshopify.com/ 🚨 Don’t Forget: Smash that subscribe and like button if you enjoy the content. About This Video

In this video I put two Echo Strength Depot leg extension / seated leg curl combos side-by-side: the pin-loaded “Classic” and the plate-loaded version. I’m talking real home gym questions here—footprint, adjustments, smoothness, and whether “budget” means the quality is cooked. I walk through the specs (3x3, 11-gauge steel, 1-inch holes), measure the space they take up (pin-loaded is roughly 50" x 40"; plate-loaded is closer to a 60" x 60" vibe), and then I actually train on both so you can see what the movements feel like. On the pin-loaded machine, you’re getting a 220 lb stack with quick changes and a super “commercial gym” feel. It’s smooth as butter, basically no noise besides it being dry (hit it with silicone spray and you’re golden). I also do a fish scale test and show the resistance isn’t perfectly 1:1 through the range—still plenty of load for real training. On the plate-loaded machine, the big talking point is the dead zone, but I show the simple hack: rest the lever on a plate to keep tension consistent. Bottom line: both are well-built, and which one makes sense comes down to budget, space, and whether you want stack convenience or already own plates.
