About This Video

In this video I’m doing a flip-through of my travel journals from Japan (Hokkaido, Dec 2024) and Korea (my winter exchange from Dec–Jan), plus a little tour of the journaling kit I bring overseas. For Hokkaido, I used the Muji passport memo notebook (it’s tiny, the pages are thick, and I love the cream colour), and I basically did one spread per day with whatever I collected that day—ski resort brochures, lift tickets, receipts, and any packaging that looked pretty. I also shared where I get my supplies from (a mix of places like Cityluxe, Some Things of Mine, Daiso, Tokyu Hands, plus gifts from friends), and how I’m always picking up more stickers and washi in Japan. For Korea, I used a Traveler’s Notebook passport grid insert, and you can really see how different countries give totally different ā€œvibesā€ just based on the ephemera you end up collecting. I also answered how I keep momentum: if I can, I journal at night, but if the trip is packed, I just collect everything first and do spreads in small pockets of time—no forcing. At the end, I show my Muji travel pouch setup (glue tape, ruler, scraps, sticker sheets, washi samples wrapped on cards), and I unbox two passport-size traveler notebooks I’m excited to use for future trips.
