About This Video

I signed up for my first half marathon (21km) — the 2XU Half Marathon on 5th April — and this vlog is basically me figuring out how to make training work around a 9–6 without hating my life. I’ve been running consistently since 2024, but once I started work last July, I got more tired and running became less of a priority. So in this season leading up to race day, I’m trying to build a routine that still lets me enjoy the process, not just “survive” it. I’m currently in week two of my training plan, and my approach right now is simple: clock the weekly distance first (around 22km a week), then slowly increase it so my body gets used to longer runs. You’ll see little slices of life in Singapore too — weekend cafe moments (my friends even got me a matcha set), a 12km run with my boyfriend after not running over 10km since December, and bits of Lunar New Year. One big win I talk about is learning to run slower so my heart rate isn’t constantly 160–170+ — building my aerobic base has made running feel way more sustainable, especially on tired after-work days when I’m still pushing myself to get that 10K done.
