About This Video

It’s been a month since I started my 9–6, and I’m still adapting to the new structure of my days. It honestly hasn’t been the easiest, but I promised myself I’d hold on to the little things that made me happy even before work began—slow mornings, long runs, and time with people I love. In this vlog, I’m sharing what my weekends look like now, and how I’ve been building routines over the past few weeks to recharge and fill my cup. My weekend starts right after work on Friday, because weekdays are usually packed. I’ll plan something social like dinner with my boyfriend or a friend—this time, I met my friend Naomi (we’ve been friends since secondary school) and we just caught up on our new working lives. On Saturday, I wake up at 7am to run because it’s genuinely the only slot I have left for myself—everything else is usually family, my boyfriend, and other commitments like church. I’ve slowly come to love morning runs because it’s emptier, it wakes me up, and I feel productive after. I also share my slow morning reset: shower, matcha (koji cha is so refreshing), reading on my balcony, then heading out for brunch and a visit to the National Museum of Singapore, before ending the day with cooking dinner and the gym.
