In this video, I unbox the MacBook Air 13-inch with the M4 chip in sky blue and share my first impressions, plus a real, practical review after using it. For context, I was previously on a 2020 MacBook Pro and I’ve never really used a MacBook Air before—so I was genuinely excited to see how it fits into my day-to-day (editing, work, and the kind of on-the-go lifestyle I’m always doing in Singapore). Also, I’ve only ever owned silver Macs, so yes… the sky blue is so pretty. I talk about what stood out most: how light and slim it is, how portable it feels when I’m bringing it out to edit or get things done, and how the battery held up when I was out for classes. Performance-wise, it handled my usual tasks (projects, Excel, Word, and editing reels on Final Cut Pro) perfectly fine. The only time I noticed an issue was when I was editing bigger Final Cut Pro projects—like 4K clips with 2–3 hours of footage—where it started hanging a bit. I also share a small tip on charging: it has both MagSafe and USB-C, and Apple staff told me both charge equally fast, so you can just use what’s convenient.
