Today’s vlog is a super chill little slice of my life in Singapore—matcha mornings, a bit of room decor, and ending the day out with friends. I started by making an earl grey syrup for my matcha (I’ve been seeing it everywhere on TikTok), and it’s honestly so easy—just tea bags and sugar. After it cooled, I tried it the next day as a sweetener instead of honey, and you can taste a subtle hint of earl grey. It’s a nice combo, but I’d definitely add more syrup next time for a stronger flavour. Since I was home until the evening, I spent time decorating my room with prints and posters I picked up in Japan (Hokkaido, Otaru, and even a Christmas fair in Sapporo) plus a few that friends gave me. I also shared a little camera update because I recently switched my vlogging camera—from my old Canon G7X Mark I (she’s been through a lot… mold on the lens, wonky screen, bad autofocus) to a Sony ZV-1 I got on Carousell. It’s just one of those slow, cosy weeks where I reset my space, make something sweet, and try to keep work-life balance in my 20s.
