About This Video

This week in my life in Singapore is a mix of little “main character” moments and the very real in-between feelings I’ve been sitting with during my two-week break after school ended. I brought you along for a Tiong Bahru photowalk (yes, I was that person stopping for shots every few steps), plus snippets of my days out—errands, moving around the city, and just soaking in how pretty Singapore can look at night. While you’re watching the clips, I also talk honestly about something I always struggle with: having too much free time. I’m someone who really likes being productive, and I don’t feel at peace when I’m “too free,” so I’ve been trying to figure out how to fill my days intentionally—whether that’s actually resting without guilt or making sure I don’t regret wasting the break. Socialising and catching up with friends has helped a lot, but I still think the biggest takeaway is balance. Being too busy and being too free both have their downsides, and I’ve learned you need the stormier days to enjoy the sunnier ones—otherwise you start taking the sun for granted.
