We're Lindsey and Caleb, and starting January 2025, we decided to quit our jobs, pack as much as we could into a few carry ons, and travel around the world. Join us as we take on adventures like staying in Thailand's most unique accommodations, trekking to Everest base camp, and motorcycling the Ha Giang Loop in Vietnam. Our 12-hour scooter adventure around Siargao revealed why this island is so much more than just a surfing destination - and why the famous "Siargao curse" is very real. Starting from General Luna, we headed north to Maasin Bridge where locals test their courage jumping into the tidal waters below, then cooled off in the stunning turquoise waters of Tayangban Cave Pool. The real discovery was Dirth North Kitchen - a hidden restaurant that lived up to its secret gem status. Reaching Das Monument at the island's northern tip gave us panoramic views of the Pacific, but the highlight was finding a completely secluded waterfall where we had the entire tropical paradise to ourselves. Covering the full loop of Siargao in one day showed us pristine beaches, jungle roads, local villages, and natural wonders that make this island truly special. Ending back in General Luna with halo-halo was the perfect finish to an epic day of island exploration that proved Siargao deserves its reputation as one of the Philippines' most beautiful islands - and why visitors often find themselves extending their stay indefinitely. #Siargao #Philippines #IslandLife #scooteradventure #TayangbanCavePool #MaasinBridge #TravelVlog #PhilippinesTravel #SiargaoIsland #HiddenGems #TropicalParadise #MotorcycleTravel #SecretWaterfall #GeneralLuna #IslandExploration

About This Video

Siargao is one of those places that feels like it shouldn’t be real—palm tree-lined roads, warm turquoise water, and little “how is this empty?” moments around every corner. In this video, we put the “Siargao curse” to the test by doing a full island loop on one scooter in 12 hours to see if it’s actually the kind of island that makes you never want to leave. We started with Maasin (we’re probably saying it wrong) Bridge, but it was more crowded and touristy than we wanted, so we kept it moving. The real highlight was Tayangban Cave Pool—cold water, a strong current, bats overhead, and that feeling of “you never know what’s hiding under you” when our guide told us the cave was only discovered in 2015. We popped out into a literal oasis, found a rope swing, and basically wanted to do it all over again. From there we chased the north—muddy roads to a hidden gem lunch spot (Dirth North Kitchen) with homemade focaccia, homemade sausage, and the cutest puppies on earth—then hit the northernmost beaches, found tiny hermit crabs, and ended at Secret Waterfall with the whole pool to ourselves. We raced back for golden hour palms and finished the day testing the best halo-halo on the island (ube ice cream, extra ingredients, and cheese on top). If the curse is real… yeah, we get it.
