We're Lindsey and Caleb, and starting January 2025, we decided to quit our jobs, pack as much as we could into a few carry ons, and travel around the world. Join us as we take on adventures like staying in Thailand's most unique accommodations, trekking to Everest base camp, and motorcycling the Ha Giang Loop in Vietnam. Our tiger safari at Ranthambore National Park exceeded every expectation we had! Located in Rajasthan, Ranthambore is one of India's premier tiger reserves and home to some of the most magnificent Bengal tigers on Earth. With fewer than 5,000 wild tigers remaining globally, these apex predators are notoriously elusive - safari guides often tell visitors they'll be fortunate to spot even one tiger during their visit. We embarked on two safaris across different zones of the park. Our evening safari in Zone 3 delivered beyond our wildest dreams with multiple tiger encounters, including breathtakingly close sightings of these powerful cats in their natural habitat. We also spotted playful langur monkeys, graceful spotted deer, and massive fruit bats hanging from the trees. The diversity of wildlife in Ranthambore is truly spectacular. Day two brought our morning safari in Zone 6, where we had the rare privilege of spotting an Asian black bear - a species that's quite uncommon to see in Ranthambore. Additional wildlife included majestic sambar deer, more spotted deer, and various monkey species that call this protected forest home. Ranthambore's combination of ancient ruins, diverse ecosystems, and thriving tiger population makes it one of the world's premier wildlife destinations. The park's success in tiger conservation is evident in these incredible encounters, proving that protection efforts are making a real difference for these endangered cats. This experience reminded us why wildlife conservation is so crucial and gave us memories that will last a lifetime. #RanthamboreSafari #WildTigers #BengalTiger #WildlifePhotography #IndiaTravel #TigerSafari #RanthamboreNationalPark #WildlifeConservation #SafariExperience #TravelVlog #WildlifeEncounter

About This Video

We went from Jaipur to Ranthambore National Park for a 2-day tiger safari, fully expecting the usual “you’ll be lucky to see one” situation. There are fewer than 5,000 wild Bengal tigers left on Earth, they’re solitary, and they cover huge territories—so we kept our expectations low. But within minutes of entering the park on our first safari (Zone 3, which we randomly got assigned), we were suddenly face-to-face with a wild tiger just feet from our vehicle. And then it kept happening—multiple tiger encounters in basically 24 hours. Between sightings, we learned how guides actually find tigers without any communication system: they rely on fresh footprints and alarm calls from animals like monkeys, deer, and peacocks. We also spotted a ton of other wildlife—spotted deer, sambar deer, peacocks, owls we couldn’t even see until we checked the footage, and a tree packed with giant fruit bats (seriously, one of the coolest things we’ve ever seen). On our second safari we were in Zone 6, which is tougher for tigers, but we ended up seeing something our guide said is really rare: an Asian black bear. Ranthambore completely delivered—raw, unfiltered wildlife, and the kind of adventure we won’t forget.
