We went to Wonderla Kochi (India’s largest theme park) and tried to turn it into a full-on challenge: can we do all 24 land rides in one day for basically $15 (1200 rupees)? Caleb and I grew up going to amusement parks, but somehow this was our first one together in five years of dating—so we showed up at 10:56 with a map, fast passes, and a plan to start at the back and work forward. That plan immediately backfired because some rides literally won’t run unless enough people show up, so we ended up sprinting back to the front to “find the crowd” and then zig-zagging our way through the park. We hit a mix of warm-ups (yes, our first coaster together was the Caterpillar), quirky stuff like a VR roller coaster, and big thrills like Space Gun and the Equinox 360 that had us fully questioning our life choices. We also dealt with real theme-park chaos: Cinemagic was closed, some rides had set showtimes (we timed the 5D movie perfectly), and one ride made us sit for 10 minutes before everyone got unloaded—so we had to run to catch the 1:00 p.m. Cinemagic showing (Aladdin: The Bachelor Party… it’s exactly what it sounds like). We wrapped with the “big coaster” once it finally opened, then realized we still had time to sneak in water rides before they closed. Overall: ridiculously fun value, and honestly it might be cheaper to fly to India and do this than go to Disney World.
