I break it down by pouches (front, middle, back) so you can see what I keep closest to hand versus what’s more “in case I need it”. It’s a mix of practical tech, a few stationery essentials, and the kind of small quality-of-life items that stop tiny annoyances from stealing focus. The front pouch is all about staying functional: hydration (water bottle + electrolytes), a calculator for quick checks, and the two-phone setup (work and personal) so I can keep boundaries without pretending I’m immune to notifications. Then in the middle pouch I keep the things that make desk work smoother—my MX Master mouse, a notebook and pen for thinking on paper, and a USB‑C dock so I’m not constantly fighting cables. Finally, the back pouch is the heavy hitter: the laptop that lets me do real work anywhere. The takeaway is simple: my bag isn’t about “more gear”, it’s about reducing friction so I can stay focused and consistent.
