In this Livestream Guitar Hangout & Chat, I’m just popping in for a chill, no-pressure hour to hang with you guys, answer questions, and talk guitar life. I normally go live on Fridays, but this week was chaotic—teaching all day, posting nonstop, and dealing with migraines—so we’re doing the Saturday make-up stream. We hit everything from lesson advice (don’t be scared to take classes, I’m not gonna beat you with a ruler) to real talk about being busy, staying consistent, and how I’m juggling daily posts across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. We also get into practical player stuff: strings, humidity, and taking care of your hands and body. I talk about what I actually use (Ernie Ball Paradigms, Clear Tones, and NYXLs if they’re on sale), why I’m not super precious about strings, and how humidity can wreck your gear—so I keep my room around 52% with a dehumidifier. Then we go deeper on practice philosophy: you don’t need 8–10 hours a day. I’d rather you do 15–30 minutes of focused work a few times a week, rest like you’re training in the gym, and avoid the tension/injury spiral that kills progress.
