Then I show you how the app connection works (and what’s annoying about it), including the Bluetooth “Spark 2 audio” thing and the little button on the back you have to hold to actually turn Bluetooth on—because, yeah, there aren’t really instructions for that. Inside the app, I mess with different amp heads, knobs, and pedal chains, and I talk about the reality: there are a ton of options, some locked behind a paywall, and the volumes can be all over the place. My takeaway is simple: if you’re willing to put in the work and tweak, the Spark 2 is absolutely worth it and can cover shred, blues, jazz—whatever. If you want plug-and-play perfect tone out of the box with minimal effort, I’d advise against it, because the stock presets sounded boxy and digital to me until I started dialing things in (noise gate off, more mids, different heads, boosting like a Tube Screamer-style setup).
