In this video, I show you exactly how to get Minecraft for free on your Mac in 2026—step by step, with no fluff. I start by opening a web browser, heading to the official Minecraft site, and clicking the first link. From there, I go to the top-right, click Account, hit Download, and then choose the Mac OS download so you’re grabbing the right installer for your machine. Once the file finishes downloading, I click the arrow next to the download and choose Open. You’ll see the usual Mac install window, and I walk you through dragging Minecraft into your Applications folder. After that, I use Spotlight (the magnifying glass at the top of the screen) to search “Minecraft,” press Enter, and launch it so it can finish downloading what it needs. Finally, I sign in with a Microsoft account (or create one if you don’t have it), click “Let’s go,” and then select Minecraft on the left sidebar.
