In this video I basically do what I always do: I start talking keyboards…again. I react to a post from someone who spent $500+ on a custom build (Zoom65 + Oil Kings + GMK) and then tried their friend’s Hall effect “rapid trigger” board and suddenly everything feels smoother and frictionless. My take: don’t be embarrassed, and you’re probably not crazy—Oil Kings can feel heavy and sluggish if you’re coming from lighter springs, and if they’re not lubed it’s going to be even worse. Before you regret your whole collection, try lighter switches (or just tune what you already have). Then I go full stream-brain and scroll setups, boards, and keycaps—calling out stuff I like (frosted PC, thin bezels sometimes) and stuff I don’t (side-printed legends, glossy caps, low-profile boards because I make too many typing mistakes). I get distracted by the Seraki Peak 60 ceramic case—baby blue glaze is insane—but the sound surprised me (kinda higher pitch / not as deep as you’d expect). After that I rant about group buys: I still think they’re scammy, like waiting two years for keycaps is wild and I’m not paying for something I might never get. I also talk daily drivers, why prebuilts save money now, and why my “I don’t like HE” take has one exception: my clean-sounding HE board with a screen.
