In this video I’m fixing my favorite keyboard… again. I found out the kit shipped with an FO4 plate, and I’m swapping it over to FR4 to see if I can push the sound where I want it—still good, but I’m chasing a more gorgeous, higher-pitched profile. I do a quick “before” sound check, then tear the board down, clean up the dust (because somehow it always shows up), and start the plate swap. I’m not gonna lie: if it ends up worse, I’m not doing this whole thing twice—I’m just accepting my fate. While I’m working, I’m also doing my usual Reddit scroll and ranting a bit about the hobby: keyboard meetups, weird boards, 40% people making me uncomfortable, and how 3D printing makes everything easier because you can basically print the case and plate and only “need” the PCB.
