In today’s video I’m doing a flip-through of the brand new Tim Holtz Palette Decorative Paper pad in the Orange collection, and y’all… it is absolutely gorgeous. This is part of the paper versions of the fabric line he released this past year, and they’re coming out three at a time. Right now you can get the pink, red, and orange, and I grabbed orange first because I’m already thinking floral journals and nature-style journals with these peaches, oranges, and greens. You get 12 double-sided papers, and one of my favorite details is how clever the repeats are: you’ll see the same image twice, but with different backs, so you don’t feel like you’re “losing” a design when you use one side. There are florals, maps, stamps, tickets, mushrooms, collage strips, and even two sheets of horizontal strips for little snippets—perfect for tags, clusters, and quick decorating without cutting into a full page. I also talk about the finish and weight, because it matters for junk journals. These are a matte finish and feel slightly thinner than last year’s limited edition Vault papers (which were shinier and thicker), and I personally love these way more. They’re not limited release, they’re shipping now, and after seeing this one in person, I may go back for more colors once I use this pad up.
