Hi guys — y’all asked for it, so I’m showing you the huge mess in my basement that came from my mom’s house clean out (and yep… no judging!). This video is basically a treasure-hunt haul: tubs and tubs of photographs, old letters, linens, doilies, recipe cards, and all kinds of vintage bits that are just screaming “junk journal.” I had no idea my mom had so many things that could be repurposed into journals, tags, pockets, and ephemera… even though she always told me, “No, I don’t have any of that stuff.” I flip through a bunch of vintage books that I’m excited to turn into journal pages and covers — like Walt Disney volumes, nature books, school books, atlases, music books, and a stack of Nancy Drew (I found ten!). I also share some really sentimental finds: my mom’s baby book, my dad’s notary stamp, his old movie camera, and even little pieces of handwriting and photo mailers that I want to scan and use.
