Hi everyone, I’m Sandy (Kentucky Krafter), and in this video I’m doing an “egg-stra special” flip through of my Little Golden Book junk journal—and y’all, it turned out so cute. I’ll show you the cover (including a little cluster I added to cover up a spot that was messed up), the fabric I wrapped around the back, and my simple removable paper-clip charm with beads, flowers, butterflies, eggs, and the cutest little bunny tail. This book is from 1988, and I love leaving those nostalgic details in there—plus I saved the Little Golden Book spine piece so you can turn it into a bookmark if you want. Inside, I used a hidden spine and packed it with fun papers and lots of sewing details—pockets, tucks, vellum peekaboo spots, glassine bag pockets, and plenty of room to write and decorate. You’ll see vintage and non-vintage goodies mixed throughout: ledger paper, doilies, music pages (I picked “April Showers”), avocado dyed index cards, vintage playing cards, ideals pages, bridge scoring sheets, rolodex cards, and sweet little Precious Moments images. I also share a couple of my favorite interactive ideas like hidden journaling fold-outs and secret spots, and I’ll be shipping extra ephemera with the journal.
