Hi everyone, it’s Sandy (Kentucky Krafter), and in this video I’m sharing a collective haul from Michaels, Five Below, Hobby Lobby, and then some fun thrifting—plus a really good day out with my friend Jennifer at the Peddler Mall in Middletown. I’m a little behind on my Hobby Lobby showing, but I only grabbed a couple things: some retired Tim Holtz flare buttons I couldn’t pass up, and some St. Patrick’s Day buttons that were 40% off (a few are going in a little Happy Mail kit for my daughter). I’ve been trying hard to avoid all the clearance temptation, and honestly…I’m kind of proud of myself. From Five Below, I found the cutest Strawberry Shortcake charms (perfect for spine dangles), a Disney sticker activity book for my granddaughters (and maybe the plane ride), and a couple Little Golden Books (Messy and Super Mario) that I want to turn into spiral-bound journals. Thrifting is where it really got good: vintage-style books with sweet kid illustrations, a 1956 Ontario map with that pretty blue, and a Cinderella-carriage-looking piece that had Jennifer and me cracking up because we had the exact same thought. And of course, I had to snag a few Ideals magazines—because I’m a sucker for them—and I’ll be using those matte pages for gorgeous journal spreads, signatures, tags, and themed journals.
