This one’s my original track “On Me” (prod. Aight08) — written by me, and I also mixed and mastered it myself. The whole record is basically that mindset of “it’s on me”: running around the clock, dreams on my back, staying present, and still pushing even when it feels like I’m carrying everything. That hook is the energy of the song — if it goes right or wrong, I’m owning it. From a vocal/mix perspective, this is the same kind of sound I’m always chasing in Adobe Audition: clean but aggressive, sitting on top of the beat without getting harsh. I wanted the vocal to feel locked-in and confident, like I’m “in my zone,” and still keep it musical when the delivery gets intense.
