In this faith chat, I’m opening up about something I don’t talk about enough: money anxiety. I share what it looks like to love Jesus deeply and still struggle to trust Him fully with provision—especially when the economy feels shaky, prices are up, and I’m homeschooling four kids so I can’t work the way I used to. One practical thing that’s helped me is keeping a running note in my phone literally titled “God provides,” where I write down every single way He’s provided, from unexpected refunds to free things we truly needed, to circumstances shifting (like First Communion prep being doable from home), to even free marriage counseling with our priest. I read from Luke 12 about the wildflowers and God’s care, and I talk about surrendering control—over money, time, and even my work schedule—so I’m not grasping for security that only the Lord can give.
