Hey everyone, it’s Karla Elisa, and in this Decorate With Me home refresh I’m continuing my full reset after the holidays—this time focusing on my kitchen. Since I’ve been repainting my main living areas to feel more bright and airy, my kitchen finally felt like a blank slate again, and I was so ready to redecorate. The goal was simple: keep it cozy and neutral for winter, but start sneaking in subtle hints of spring with light, airy touches and warm earthy tones. I start with a quick wipe-down so I’m decorating on a clean, fresh surface, then I build cozy layers with cutting boards, a small lamp for that darker corner, and an easy pop of “almost-spring” greenery like sedum and seeded eucalyptus. One of my favorite ideas in this refresh is my no-drill “kitchen rail” moment—using a tension rod and bronze S-hooks so I can hang a woven basket, a true vintage copper pan, and a practical measuring cup without committing to drilling into tile. I also style my peninsula, island, shelves, and coffee counter with simple, collected pieces that bring that soft, old-world warmth while still feeling ready for early spring.
