In this video I’m showing you why iPadOS 26 is a straight-up game changer for getting real work done on an iPad. Apple finally brought the iPad closer than ever to a “MacBook with a touchscreen” vibe—Stage Manager in extended display mode, proper window controls (the legendary stoplights), and most importantly a full-on file manager that actually feels like a computer. And yes… we finally got a real pointy cursor instead of that circle thing. But the real sauce is my ultra setup: iPadOS + Windows 11 + macOS all running side-by-side using Jump Desktop. I’m remote-ing into my Mac Studio and my mini Windows PC from my M1 iPad Pro, while still keeping iPad apps available on the iPad screen. I even open full DaVinci Resolve Studio on the Mac through the iPad, scrub timelines, and switch audio output on iPadOS 26 with a tap (hub audio to TV speakers). It’s not perfect—there were a couple hiccups on-camera—but overall it’s smooth, snappy, and honestly worth it if you’ve got solid internet. My main takeaway: if you want power at home and mobility on the road without paying MacBook money, an iPad (especially iPad Pro) + a desktop like a Mac Studio is a crazy good combo.
