The Sony Pulse Elite Wireless Headset is one of the most recommended headsets for the Sony PlayStation 5 . But after testing it extensively, I don’t think it’s the best option under $200 anymore. In this video I compare it with the HyperX Cloud III S Wireless Gaming Headset to see which one actually delivers better sound quality, microphone performance, comfort, and overall value for PS5 gaming. I also show my real mic tests, EQ settings, software setup, and real-world usage to help you decide which headset is actually worth buying. If you’re looking for the best PS5 headset under $200, this breakdown will help you decide. 🎬 Support the journey & help fuel the next video → https://coff.ee/kamanibrown ✅ Headsets & accessories mentioned in video: - HyperX Cloud 3S: https://geni.us/ovALnwM - PS Pulse Elite: https://geni.us/RoQBzPU - Logitech G522 Lightspeed Headset: https://geni.us/YUgGEBQ - Fabric Earcups for HyperX Cloud 3S: https://geni.us/DBkWix Ultimate Fix for Pulse Elite headset Disconnections: https://youtu.be/50XbRkXc7Cc 🎥 CHAPTERS: 0:00 The Best PS5 Headset Under $200? 0:28 Starting With the Pulse Elite 0:56 Pulse Elite Sound & Mic Test 2:04 Noise Cancellation & Real-World Mic Demo 4:30 The Problem With Pulse Elite 4:52 Introducing the HyperX Cloud 3S 5:28 Build Quality & Comfort 6:39 Customization & Magnetic Plates 7:15 HyperX Software Setup (Ngenuity) 8:25 Mic Settings & Noise Reduction 9:14 EQ Setup & Audio Tuning 10:52 PS5 3D Audio & Spatial Audio 11:56 HyperX Cloud 3S Final Verdict 13:23 Giving the Pulse Elite Credit 14:13 Pulse Elite Reliability Issues 15:21 Charging & Convenience 16:07 Which Headset You Should Buy ____________________________________________________ 🛒 Checkout my Amazon Storefront for more useful tech at affordable prices: https://www.amazon.com/shop/kamanibrown ____________________________________________________ Social Media - Instagram: kamanibrown_ Facebook: Kamani Brown Email: katanagraphicsja@gmail.com ____________________________________________________ DISCLAIMER: I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program (and several others), an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for persons to earn commissions by promoting and linking to Amazon.com (or whichever other affiliated website/company). About This Video

In this video I’m calling it straight: I don’t think the Sony Pulse Elite is the best PS5 headset under $200 anymore. I tested it hard as my “control” headset, and when it works, it sounds phenomenal—especially once you dial in a custom EQ on the PS5. Out of the box though? It sounded like absolute garbage to me, and I almost returned it. The bigger issue is reliability: disconnections are still a real thing, and while my USB extender workaround helps, a lot of people are still getting lemons. Then I bring in what I’m calling the crown champion right now: the HyperX Cloud III S Wireless. I’ve used it across PS5, PC, Mac, and even for work calls, and the versatility is the main win—no PlayStation-only restrictions. Build quality is solid metal, comfort is great, and the mic with AI noise reduction has been getting me compliments on Teams calls. The weakness is HyperX software (Ngenuity), so I show how I set it up (beta + legacy apps), the mic settings I use, and the EQ that gets me close to the Pulse Elite vibe without the headaches. My takeaway: if you haven’t bought a headset yet and you want the best all-around option under $200 for PS5 and everything else, I’d go HyperX Cloud III S. If you already own the Pulse Elite, I’ll still give it its flowers for PS5 sound and the charging stand convenience—just don’t ignore the disconnect risk.
