In this video I’m switching things up and talking about the Audio Technica ATH-M40X, and why I genuinely think these might be the best value “pro” studio headphones for content creators. I built a lot of my channel using earbuds (Beat Fit Pro and even AirPods Pro 2), and yeah, they work in a pinch. But once I put these on, the name of the game became clarity and precision — and trust me people, the M40X has that in spades. I break down why I chose the M40X after a boatload of research, especially compared to the “legendary” M50X. From what I found (and what I’m hearing), the M40X comes across clearer in the treble and mids, while the M50X leans more bass-heavy and can blow out the highs. These are barebones headphones: no ANC, no buttons, no volume controls — just raw, unadulterated sound from the drivers. For editing, it’s a joy: I can line up voice, music, and tracks way more precisely and catch background issues faster. Between the removable cable, foldable design, and the two included cables, these are shot worth every penny if you’re podcasting, editing, or doing any kind of audio work on a budget.
