What one peeps? In this video I’m doing a deep-dive on PS Portal Update 6.0 and answering the big question: is it finally a true handheld PS5—at least in the way most of us actually want to use it? I walk through the new home screen with the three tabs (PS5 connect, cloud streaming, and search) and show how navigating with L1/R1 just feels more mature and “finished.” This update isn’t some wild revolution like 5.0 was, but it’s a very welcome refinement that makes the Portal feel slicker and easier to live with day-to-day. The big deal is cloud streaming no longer being “beta,” and I show it working with my PS5 Pro literally off in rest/standby. I also talk about what’s actually available to stream—Sony’s library has expanded a lot (I’m seeing it closer to ~300 in the listing), but not everything you own will show up. I call out games like Returnal and Tekken 7 as examples that aren’t available for streaming, so manage your expectations. Performance-wise, I test Lies of P both from the cloud and then directly from my PS5 over my home network. Cloud is smooth (1080p/60) with minor micro-stutters depending on your Wi‑Fi, but streaming from the PS5 feels a bit better for input lag. My favorite upgrade though? Full-on 3D audio support—wired or PS Link—which genuinely levels up immersion on the Portal.
