About This Video

W people—this video is my first real entry into open-ear headphones, and I’m reviewing the Kiwi Ears Spark from LinSoul (Kiwi Ears’ premium line). I break everything down into my “three and a half points”: design/features (that’s the one and a half), battery life, and sound. Right away, the build surprised me—this gold-and-cream case feels hella premium, snaps shut solid (take notes, Beats), and there are no charging pins because it’s true wireless charging inside the case. You also get USB-C, an LED battery indicator, Bluetooth 5.2, IPX5 water resistance, touch controls, and a gaming mode. The big reason I stopped running with AirPods/regular in-ears is the open-ear design. These just rest on my ears, so I can hear my environment naturally—birds, cars, other joggers—while still getting clear audio. Comfort is the standout: after a minute, I legit don’t feel them, and for me that’s huge because sweat + silicone tips has been giving me irritation (I’m even dealing with an ear infection). Sound-wise, mids and highs are crisp and clear—amazing for podcasts—but bass is the main compromise, and sound leak is real (physics is physics). Mic quality also isn’t great, but as safe, comfortable running headphones, these made me a believer.
