About This Video

All right, peeps—this video is all about an overlooked must-have accessory for mobile content creators: the NEEWER filming cage for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I walk through what makes it so practical if your phone is your main camera—fully machined aluminum, thick rubber padding inside, and precision cutouts for all the lenses, flash, LiDAR, mic, speaker grills, and USB-C. It’s basically full-on protection even though your phone is “naked” in the cage, and it feels solid in the hands. I also show how easy it is to lock/unlock, slide the phone in, and start building out a real rig with all the mounting points. I break down the mounting options too: quarter-inch screw points all around, multiple cold shoe mounts, and even a spot for a lanyard. One feature I really like is the pop-out section for the camera control button—works flawlessly once the phone is inside. On top of that, it comes with multiple back plates (67mm filter plate, Moment T-mount, and a 17mm lens plate), and I demo a macro lens setup to show how you can get true hardware macro shots—way better than relying on software. Then I keep it honest with the cons: this thing is a flipping tank, so it adds serious bulk and weight, the back glass stays exposed (glass is glass and the glass breaks), the little pop-out piece can be lost, and it’s model-specific—upgrade your iPhone and you’ll need a new cage. Still, if you’re doing UGC or pro-level phone shoots, I can’t speak more highly of it.
