Right here I’m unboxing and testing a soft playset that includes a petal-shaped ball pit and a set of foam climbing blocks for babies and toddlers. I show you what it looks like straight out of the package and how fast it actually expands back into shape. For me, it took just a couple minutes to fully come into its shape (and I didn’t have any issues), but I also explain how colder weather can make it take longer. Once it’s assembled, I go over the things I care about most as a parent: safety, stability, and how practical it is for everyday use. The bottom of each piece has grippers, so it doesn’t glide around on slick floors, and everything is super soft and cushiony so you don’t have to worry as much about bumps. I also love that the pieces are light enough for a little one to move, but it comes with Velcro connectors so you can keep the layout secure. The ball pit was my daughter’s favorite part immediately—she was drawn right to the colorful balls. I fit 200 play balls in it perfectly (we bought those separately), but you can also toss other toys in there. Between climbing, pulling up, balance practice, and just sitting and playing, this is one of those toys that grows with your kid.
