In this video I unbox and test a 3D cooling gel eye mask that’s designed to be 100% blackout. Right out of the box, I show everything you get, including the little storage bag—which I really like because it’s perfect for tossing in the freezer without it touching meat or other freezer stuff. The big thing that stood out to me is the 3D contoured shape. It’s made so it doesn’t put pressure on your eyelids, and you can still blink freely, which is a huge deal if you hate flat masks pressing on your eyes. I also go over how you can use it for both cold and hot therapy. For cold, you freeze it for 1–2 hours, and that’s great for puffy eyes and headaches (and I do get headaches often, so that caught my attention). For heat, you microwave it for about 20 seconds for a warm, relaxing feel that can help with dry eyes. I talk fit and comfort too: the eye cavity is about 3 cm deep, it has a nose cutout with blackout coverage, and the strap is stretchy and adjustable with no pokey pieces—so even side sleepers should be good. Overall, I love that it’s simple, comfortable, fully blackout, and versatile for both hot and cold use.
