Pantheon is a longboard manufacturer from the US, and with the Boreas 159 they're entering the snowboard market. This board has an interesting design on paper: at 159 length it offers over 127cm of effective edge combined with some spooning and early rise in the tips and a torsionally medium flex. About This Video

In this review I’m taking a close look at Pantheon’s first real step into snowboards: the Boreas 159. Pantheon comes from the longboard world, so the design choices here are pretty nerdy in a good way—159 length, over 127 cm of effective edge, spooning and early rise in the tips, plus a torsionally medium flex. On paper that combo could either feel like a runaway train or a surprisingly manageable carver, so I break down what each of those ingredients actually does on snow. I go through carving performance first—how that long effective edge locks in, how the tip shaping affects initiation, and why “long” doesn’t automatically mean cumbersome when the board is designed right. Then I talk base/sidecut feel and dampening, and why weight matters more than people think for how a board accelerates, tracks, and handles chatter. I also take it into freeride situations and more challenging terrain to see if the shape and flex help or hurt when things get technical. My verdict: this is a board that can suit a lot of riders, but I’m also honest about where it fits (or doesn’t) for my own needs.
