Hello my precious jewels—this is my January 2026 monthly favorites, and I’m talking about the products I truly reached for on my oily skin and dark complexion. I don’t always do favorites every month (because y’all don’t always watch them), but I had too many good finds not to share. This month was heavy on drugstore releases that surprised me, plus a few higher-end items that were either amazing… or honestly not worth the money. I’m going through what gave me that smooth, blurred, “beautifully matte and glowy” finish: Milani baked blushes that look ethereal without emphasizing pores, powders that make the skin look finished (LYS and Morphe surprised me), and NYX setting powders that blur my under-eyes and the whole face. I also get into my NYX Make ‘Em Wonder Soft Matte foundation—once I found my perfect shade (36 Warm Rich), it looked like I was in the lab with them. And because I’m always going to keep it real, I also share my “not-so-favorites,” like the Huda pressed powders and the Prada concealer—cute packaging doesn’t mean it’s $40–$50 cute if it’s not giving me brightness, coverage, and all-day under-eye wear. No hype, just my honest wear-test brain at work.
