You see people telling you how “wonderful” a new foundation is, but my question is always: does it really wear well on real skin? In this video I put the reformulated Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk (Perfect Natural Glow) Foundation in shade 13.5 through a true 2-day wear test on my oily, textured skin. I wore it 8–10+ hours, went out running errands, and I did check-ins so you can actually see what happens from fresh application to end-of-day. Day 1 I tested primer vs no primer (and I also played with different base steps), and the foundation looked gorgeous at first—velvety, blurred, and that “glowy matte” finish I love. But by the 9-hour mark, I was super oily, especially around my mouth and chin. Nothing really broke up, but the shine was too much for me, and I hated that “oil beard” look. Day 2 I redid it the way I normally do my makeup: mattifying primer, more intentional powder (with a puff), and a more appropriate setting spray (not dewy). I also share my thoughts on how primer can sometimes block a foundation’s blurring claims, and what I’d change if you’re oily like me before you spend $69.
