Can a full face of makeup under $10 actually look good? In this video I put budget beauty to the test on my oily, textured skin and created a full glam using mostly new drugstore products that are $10 or less. I’m used to reviewing high-end brands like Makeup by Mario, Huda Beauty, Natasha Denona, Danessa Myricks, and Dior, so I really wanted to see if the drugstore is giving “expensive” right now—or if it’s going to be one of those looks that falls apart fast. I went in with a green eye look for St. Patrick’s Day using a Hard Candy quad, tried an Essence foundation stick (shade 280), tested an Essence under-eye corrector and their Silky Blur concealer (and yes… the concealer was way too light on me), and set with the Krice Soft Blur powder. Some products genuinely shocked me—like how smooth and high-end the Essence bronzer blended on my lids and how good the concealer coverage looked. But I also kept it real about what I didn’t love: my under-eyes started looking dry, and the Hard Candy shimmer didn’t hold up like I need it to. Bottom line: there are gems under $10, but you still have to be picky so you don’t waste your money.
