If you’re looking for affordable holiday glam, look no further—because I did a full face using NEW drugstore/affordable makeup and created a super festive, color-forward look. I tested the Maybelline Lifter Plump & Glow Foundation (shade 367) and the NEW Maybelline Lifter Serum Concealer (I used shades 60 and 90), plus a few other gems like Catrice, Essence, Revolution, and ColourPop. I also played in the Shrek x ColourPop palette (because y’all told me to pick it up), and I went for that burgundy + green moment that screams holiday, but still feels wearable if you’re a color girl like me. On the complexion side, the foundation surprised me—in the best way. It looked super skin-like, lightweight, and honestly made my cheeks look plump and healthy without a primer, which is a big deal for my oily, textured skin. The concealer blended beautifully and looked bright and creamy, but I did notice creasing after I used the Revolution pink loose powder, so I switched to my Essence powder to smooth things back out. For Catrice, I loved the blush in the cream palette, but the bronzer was just too light for me—like, I can see it, but I need it a couple shades deeper.
