Hi everyone, I’m JD from Willowbound Journals, and in this video I’m doing a flip through of a gorgeous magazine called In Her Studio—one of my favorites (right up there with Daphne’s Diary and Bella Grace). It’s one I usually only treat myself to once a year (or even every two years) because it’s a bit pricey, but my lovely friend Carrie gifted me this copy at the perfect time. I’m currently running my Vision Journal Course, and I’ve been collecting magazine images and words to cover the pages of a thrifted book we’re altering into a vision journal for the year. As I flip through, I share what I’m drawn to and why—especially anything that helps me build a beautiful, meaningful creative sanctuary. I love seeing other people’s studios and how they organize supplies, and I chat about my own organizing style too (I’m a visual organizer, so if I can’t see it, I won’t use it—no lids, thank you!). I didn’t pull a huge stack from this magazine, but the images I did find were absolutely perfect: crystals in a window for my “princess studio” vibe, a gallery wall to inspire refreshing my own, crystal doorknobs to finally motivate me to install mine, a calm pastel/neutral palette for my next book, and even a little vintage-style purse wish list moment.
