Hi everyone, I’m JD from Willowbound Journals, and in this video I’m taking you on an updated tour of my creative studio (which is also my bedroom) as I keep turning it into my little “princess room.” We walk in through my crystal bead curtain, and I show you how I’ve made space for everything in one room: my desk where the magic happens, my journaling and writing life, my music corner, my book stacks, my jigsaw puzzles, and of course Keanu’s little nook as well. I share my favourite details like my chandelier (a dream come true), all my crystals and sparkly thrifted treasures, and the sentimental pieces from friends, subscribers, and family. I also go deep into the practical side—how I store my junk journal supplies so I can reach everything without leaving my chair, why I like having things visual, and how my drawers and shelves are organised (vintage French papers, music sheets, tags, trims, tools, coffee-dyed paper, and ongoing projects like my Vision Journal course). The big takeaway is that I’m always aiming for a space that’s functional and organised, but also meaningful and beautiful—my sanctuary. And this year I’m leaning into “the joy of less” with a no-spend year (not super strict), decluttering, using what I already have, and making my room even more princessy with the leftover crystals and (possibly) new fairy lights.
