Hi everyone, I’m JD from Willowbound Journals, and in this video I’m sharing a flip through of two journals I made using Little Golden Book pages—Cats and The Blue Book of Fairy Tales. Earlier in the year I turned the actual covers into yearly journals (in the style of my own yearly journal), and I held onto the leftover pages because both books are really meaningful to me. In the end, I was ready to part with them and turn them into something that could be loved and used—although I did keep two of my absolute favorite fairy-tale pages for my personal journal because I just adore the fairies, the gowns, the crowns, the dresses, and the wands. The Fairy Tale journal features pages from Rapunzel, Beauty and the Beast, and Toes and Diamonds. I’ve always been drawn to the illustrations more than the text—especially the blue theme (blue is my favorite color), the castles, and all the sparkly princess details. I also share a little bit about how I’m embracing my “princess lifestyle” as an adult, right down to monthly princess dinners with friends. I also flip through the Cats journal (which is sold) and chat about how it could be used to document the life of a cat or any pet—just like I did when I made a special cat journal for Keanu and documented his first couple of years.
