Hello you all—welcome back to Journey with Char. In this video, my family and I did a quick (but hilarious) Trader Joe’s Taste of Caramels taste test that turns into a whole little holiday game. I show you how the box is set up, why you have to keep the chocolates in order (because the answers are on the bottom—no peeking!), and how we used little tablets/paper and a pen to write down our guesses for each caramel flavor. I also learned the hard way that you need a palate cleanser and you should probably use toothpicks… because baby, the caramel and chocolate was all in my nails. We went flavor by flavor—things like fig and honey, crème brûlée, sea salt, passion fruit (which was bomb!), hot chili, salted lavender, maple sea salt, and more. Let me just say: everybody got real “sophisticated” real fast… and then got confused. Joshua shocked me and ended up winning with 8 out of 11 (and yes, I still side-eye him a little because how?!). But truly, the quality of the chocolate was amazing—product of Ireland—and it was such a fun, cozy way to be together as a family. And you already know I’m going to say it: always trust God, keep Him first, and He’ll lead you in the right direction. Bon appetite!
